Lac La Biche County's manager of protective services Albert Bahri has resigned and accepted a higher position in another municipality.
"The last year and a half that I've been here has been very productive," Bahri said. "There are great people that work here in protective services."
Bahri's departure is the latest in a series of resignations and dismissals, beginning with chief administrative officer Roy Brideau's firing in February.
Bahri says his resignation was motivated by the prospect of a position that is "a step up."
Bahri assumed his position as protective services manager in January 2013. In an interview with the POST, he listed procuring new vehicles and equipment for the department and the opportunity to work with qualified individuals as highlights of his time in Lac La Biche County.
"There are great people that work here in protective services," he said.
