Got a nagging feeling you left something behind? Had a great day on the toboggan hill, but feel too tuckered to go check the truck to see if you remembered to bring everything home?
Let's get to the point — did you leave a purple toboggan at the Lac La Biche Trout Pond toboggan hill? How about a pair of leather mitts, a touque, a pink neck-warmer or a pair of insulated camo gloves? Any of those sound familiar?
A little walk around the park today by our newsroom staff getting a photo of the warnings on the trout pond's frozen surface turned up a treasure trove of left-behind goodies.
The leather mitts on the picnic table under the shelter area were particularly interesting as they were cradling what looked like the makings of someone's lunch box. A little red notepad was also left on the table, and a toque with a United Rentals logo was under the table. Adding to the mystery of the items was a still-smouldering log in the communal firepit.
Strange ... or just more examples of COVID-brain.
If these were any of your items, they were still there at 5:30 pm Saturday ... even if you weren't.
