LAC LA BICHE – On July 16, a group of seniors, along with some family members, were at the Lac La Biche Heritage Society for a lunch put on as part of the organization’s ‘Eat to Live’ initiative.
Those who gathered inside of the Heritage Society building, were able to socialize while enjoying a homemade meal of lasagna, salad, bread, and dessert.
According to Stacey St. Jean, the executive director of the Lac La Biche Heritage Society, the Eat to Live program provides an opportunity for seniors to get together and mingle while eating a healthy lunch.
“By them coming every week, we can kind of keep them up to date on the stuff that’s going on at the centre as well,” St. Jean said.
Eat to Live, which is normally hosted weekly throughout the year, is only being put on once a month during the summer months.
The event will return to a weekly Wednesday format after Sept. 17.
