Lac La Biche Summer Days kicks off with pancake breakfast

The breakfast was held from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the Lac La Biche Heritage Centre.

LAC LA BICHE - There’s no better way to kick off an August long weekend of fun and exciting events than with a hearty pancake breakfast.

As has been a tradition at the start of Lac La Biche Summer Day, a pancake breakfast was held at the Lac La Biche Heritage Centre on the morning of Aug. 2.

Several people came to the local senior’s centre to enjoy pancakes, sausages and refreshments served by volunteers, including representatives of Lac La Biche County. There was also live musical entertainment by country western and rock group Dusty Road, comprised of Vyonne and Valere Plamondon, who performed on the stage at the Lac La Biche Heritage Centre.

The breakfast kicked off a day of events that included a parade, midway, community fish fry, and live musical entertainment at the Lakeland Agricom.
