UPDATE: Man arrested
Redwater, Alta. – An adult male was arrested at approximately midnight and remains in police custody after a firearms complaint in the area of Township Road 580 and Range Road 210 northeast of Redwater.
RCMP would like to advise the male was not linked to any other offences outside of the Redwater rural area and no one was injured.
Further details will be provided via an update after formal charges are laid.

Redwater RCMP are cautioning regional travellers about a large police presence northeast of Redwater at Township Road 580 and Range Road 210.
Police say the are responding to a public safety complaint and urge the public to avoid the area — and refrain from posting any photos or video of the area onto social media.
RCMP say an update will be provided when available.
