Smoky Lake RCMP and Vilna fire and rescue crews attend fatal crash on Highway 28.
An 18 year old Saddle Lake man is dead after the eastbound vehicle he was traveling in was broadsided by a westbound van at the intersection of Highway 28 and Range Road 133 near Vilna.
Smoky Lake police say the crash took place at 4:30 pm. yesterday as the vehicle with the Smoky Lake man was attempting to turn left off the highway. The drivers in both vehicles have been treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police say alcohol and speed are not factors in the crash.
The investigation continues.
