Santa Claus is coming to town

He's in a big red suit and races around with ringing bells hoping that chimneys aren't on fire. Santa has a lot in common with firefighters, and this Saturday he's the guest of the Lac La Biche County's Firefighter Auxilliary.

Pull out the pumper truck, guys. Santa's gotta park his reindeer somewhere close by when he stops at the Lac La Biche Fire Hall this Saturday (Dec. 6) to Ho Ho Help the firefighters from the regional fire halls transform into their Santa's Helpers roles.
Carmen Senemiuk with the firefighters auxilliary says the day will see regional firefighters hitting the streets to collect much-needed community funds for their Santa's Helpers program that delivers toys and food to needy family in the days leading up to Christmas.

The fundraising blitz, along with Santa's arrival will share the spotlight of the day with a street-hockey tournament outside the fire hall hosted by the Portage College Voyageurs hockey team, as well as a hot dog roast, hot chocolate and free goodie bags for all kids who sit on Santa's lap.

The day starts at 10 a.m. at the Fire Hall and through the Lac La Biche downtown.
Check the Lac La Biche POST's facebook page for updated times for Santa's arrival.
