Lac La Biche Fire Rescue Services and police were at the scene of a morning fire at a property in the Bonesville subdivision, south of the Lac La Biche hamlet on Thursday. The fire-call came in at about 9 am.
As fire crews arrived, large flames and thick smoke plumed from a pile of rubble and yard waste that had been in the process of being cleared by property owners.
As municipal peace officers maintained traffic safety along the adjacent roadway, fire crews quickly put out the flames and halted the fire from spreading to nearby trailers on the property.
A cause of the fire was not known. No one was reported to have been injured in the incident.
More details on the blaze have been requested from Lac La Biche County officials.
