Four-year old alone on school bus all day

Answers are being sought after a Lac La Biche family says their four year old son was left on a school bus all day. The boy didn't get off at his elementary school and he wasn't noticed at another stop. He remained on the bus in the bus driver's yard for the rest of the day until the driver returned for his afternoon pickups.
