The process for determining where to install street lights in the County of Lac La Biche is being revamped after two motions were approved by council on Feb. 25. Ward 7 Coun.

Fuder, who currently plays for the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League, said minor hockey teaches kids life skills such as teamwork, the importance of hard work and competition.

The seasonal road, which runs just over 4 km from the Maccagno Point boat launch on the south side of Lac La Biche Lake to the Poplar Point boat launch on the north side, is used throughout the winter months. Due to warm weather, the road has been closed, as of 6 a.m. on Feb. 28.

During the week, Lac La Biche County crews were working on a section of Beaver Hill Road between 94 Ave. and 101 Ave. (Main Street) completing asphalt repairs and filling potholes.

The Portage College Voyageurs men's hockey team dropped a 14-3 decision to Red Deer Polytechnic on Feb. 21 and lost a second time to their visiting Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) rivals on Feb. 22.
