Lac La Biche County residents have spoken and with 1195 votes, Aurel Langevin will remain in the mayor's seat four the next four years. Langevin says he is thankful for all of the support he has received from voters, family and friends.

Two hours and 45 minutes after the polls closed and with only 56 votes separating them, mayoral candidate Gail Broadbent-Ludwig says she new it was going to be a close race between her and incumbent candidate Aurel Langevin.

As the numbers are coming in, Ward 7 councillor John Nowak is likely to have a seat on council with more than twice the votes of his second-closest opponent.

Preliminary results for the 2013 Lac La Biche County election show that Ward 5 incumbent MJ Siebold is winning the race with 229 votes to opponent Seham (Sam) Fyith's 99.

Northern Lights School Division is just about to announce that Debra Lozinski has defeated Roxanne Suhan for the Ward 5 school division seat. The unofficial tally gave Lozinski, a former municipal political veteran 306 votes with Suhan taking 237.
