Young players on six volleyball teams enjoy learning skills at tournament

The out of school care program run by Northern Lights Public Schools (NLPS) currently has 120 students.

Darcy Shyry, a biologist and instructor at Portage College and the regional coordinator for the Alberta Community Bat Program, taught people about the role bats play in the environment.

The appreciation event took place at the Lakeland Archers club on Friday, Oct, 25.

On Nov. 1 and 2, the Portage College Voyageurs men’s hockey team dropped away and home contests against the NAIT OOKs.

The Lac La Biche Oilmen's Bonspiel, which has taken place annually for the past 44 years, was held over the Nov. 1 weekend.

On the evening Oct. 29, the orange fences came down around the section of 101 Ave. (Main Street) between 102 Street and 101 Street in Lac La Biche, which had been closed since April for work on the second phase of the $32.5 million Main Street Revitalization project.
