BONNYVILLE – On Saturday night, the Beaver River Fish and Game Association Hall was packed with hunters, fishers, outdoor enthusiasts and families during the association’s 34th annual awards banquet.
The evening comprised of a Wild Game dinner dished up by Rhino volleyball players, a silent and live auction, pie auction, and the awards ceremony.
Award recipients for the 34th banquet were determined based on entries during the Beaver River association’s Buck Fever Night that was held in December.
Out of the 43 youth, womens, and adult categories, only 27 of the categories had at least one entry.
The association’s president Léa Cousins explained that while anyone can attend and submit entries for the Buck Fever event, only members of Beaver River Fish and Game can receive awards at the annual banquet.
The awards ceremony saw just 13 fishers, hunters, archers and photographers walk home with a combined 27 awards.
