BONNYVILLE – Bonnyville RCMP continue to investigate a firearm complaint that closed the Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre (C2) three hours early on the evening of Jan. 28.

So far, police have little evidence to confirm the presence of a firearm in the public recreation centre.

On Saturday evening, the C2 was evacuated and at around 6:30 p.m., members of the public were asked to avoid the area due to “an active threat” that was not identified.
