UPDATE: Highway 29 east of St. Paul reopened

Highway 29, east of St. Paul and near St Edouard, was closed to traffic due to an incident involving three vehicles. The highway has reopened as of 8:15 p.m.

St. Paul Fire Chief Trevor Kotowich is on scene and told the Journal the incident involved three vehicles. At the time, he anticipated the highway would reopen in the next 20 minutes. According to the fire department's social media, the highway reopened shortly after 8 p.m.

He noted that while he believed someone had been transported to hospital, he couldn't confirm specific details.

Emergency crews responded to the call at about 6:40 p.m. on Monday evening.
