Lac La Biche and Plamondon Grad Class '22 celebrations were held over the weekend as J. A. Williams High School and Ecole Plamondon each held graduation ceremonies.

Saturday was a busy day in Plamondon and Lac La Biche, as122 Grade 12 students — 96 from JAWS and 26 from Plamondon — crossed the stages at their respetive school ceremonies to complete their secondary school years.

Both schools held indoor convocation ceremonies with invited guests, as well as banquet dinners to follow.

In Lac La Biche, a grad procession of vehicles was also a highlight of the day as it rolled down Beaver Hill Road to the cheers of hundreds of onlookers lining the kilometre-long route.

Plamondon's Ecole Beausejour convocation ceremony took place on the June 4 weekend, and the first-ever Grade 12 graduates from Lac La Biche's Light of Christ Catholic Church celebrated their graduation on June 10.  Check the grad photo links in the June 21 Lakeland This Week.

The Lac La Biche POST newsroom is getting the valedictorian comments from the Ecole Plamondon and JAWS Grad classes, and will update this article later.
