Man who missed mandated curfew found in stolen vehicle with drugs

Tyler Blake, who was on release order where curfew conditions were imposed on him, was reported by police to have not been at home on July 1 during a curfew check. The 33-year-old was alleged to have been found later that night in possession of a stolen truck and trailer.

BONNYVILLE – On July 1, members of the Bonnyville RCMP conducted a curfew check at 10:45 p.m. on a 33-year-old who was on a court mandated release order. 

Tyler Blake was reported to have not been at home during the period where he was required to be, according to RCMP.   

Officers allegedly located the 33-year-old later that night in possession of a stolen truck and trailer that had the VIN removed.   

During Blake’s arrest, members reported to have found Methamphetamine on his person.   

Police have charged the 33-year-old with possession of stolen property under $5,000, altering/destroying a VIN, possession of crystal meth, and five Counts of failing to comply with a Release Order that he had been previously released on.   

Blake was remanded in custody to appear in court on July 5. During that court appearance he was further remanded to July 19.
