LAKELAND - Canvassers for Forever Canadian are popping up across the Lakeland with opportunities to sign the citizen initiative petition to keep Alberta in Canada.
The petition asks: “Do you agree that Alberta should remain in Canada?”
Supporters have until Oct. 28 to collect 300,000 signatures in support. People must sign in person and provide their name and address as they appear on the voter list, to allow Elections Alberta to verify the threshold has been met.
