LAKELAND – A new assistant principal has been appointed for Northern Lights Outreach Schools for the 2022-23 school year.

Bruce Greengrass, who has been appointed to the role, was part of an expanded administration team announced for Bonnyville Centralized High School (BCHS) in 2018-19 as the school was preparing to undergo a major modernization.

“Now that students and staff have transitioned back to the upgraded facility, Outreach Schools administration will return to a two-person team – a principal and one assistant principal,” states information provided by Northern Lights Public Schools (NLPS).

“I am excited to join the Outreach team and be a part of their great work supporting student success,” said Greengrass.

Greengrass previously served as assistant principal of Northern Lights Outreach Schools from 2014-2018. Prior to that, he taught Social Studies at both BCHS and Cold Lake Outreach School.

“Bruce has always been focused on finding ways to connect with students and build relationships with families to ensure students are supported in their learning journeys,” said NLPS Superintendent Rick Cusson.

“This is an important piece of the work our high schools do to ensure students complete high school and progress to post-secondary education or into the workforce.”
