ST. PAUL - It was the kind of show quilters dream of. Well over 100 quilts of all sizes, along with four tables loaded with runners, wall hangings and table décor filled almost every inch of the St. Paul Seniors Centre on Saturday for the well-attended Quilting Bees Quilt Show.
Everything from a large commemorative quilt celebrating the St. Paul Canadiens hockey team to a delightful baby quilt with matching pillows and a separate display of quilts created by the Quilting Bees themselves for those in need and for wheelchair-bound residents of Extendicare were admired by the show’s visitors, who also had the opportunity to enter their names for quilting-themed door prizes, purchase tickets for draws on quilts and even shop for materials for their own next projects at a display by Mannville-based Village Treasures.
