RCMP looking for owners of recovered stolen property

St. Paul RCMP are looking to return several stolen items to their rightful owners as a result of the arrest of a male on Dec. 2, 2019.

The items include:

3 dirt bikes, 2 Honda and 1 Yamaha

1 Lamar snowboard

1 Obrien wake board

1 Poulan chainsaw

1 set of older golf clubs

1 set of water skis

5 helmets, brands include Zox Taiga, Dot, Dot CKX and Zox Tribe

Various tools and tool sets

The items were recovered after local RCMP arrested a man following a complaint of theft occurring at a seasonal property near Floating Stone Lake.

RCMP were contacted by a complainant advising that they were observing someone breaking into their seasonal property through their surveillance system.  A neighbour attended the property on their behalf and had a confrontation with the male suspect who then fled on foot. St. Paul RCMP and PDS attended the scene and began to track the suspect.  After approximately 10 kilometres the male was located and arrested.

Further investigation of the male found he was suspected for additional crimes in the Floating Stone Lake area as well as Lac La Biche.

Other property was also seized at the scene and believed to be stolen. 

Jade John Mountain, 23, of Lac La Biche was charged with two counts of break and enter, two counts of mischief, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, theft over $,5000, dangerous driving, failing to remain at the scene of a collision and uttering threats.
