COLD LAKE - A suspect is in custody and a municipal police vehicle is back where it belongs after an apparent theft and joyride involving a municipal enforcement vehicle early Saturday morning in the city of Cold Lake.
RCMP in Cold Lake are reporting they were dispatched to a call at 3:30 am Saturday morning, on reports that a fully marked Cold Lake Municipal Enforcement vehicle — a Dodge Ram pickup truck with unit number 2010 — had been stolen. The initial report said the vehicle was last seen going eastbound on 50 Avenue in Cold Lake.
A news release issued a few hours later says the vehicle has been recovered and a suspect is in custody.
RCMP in Cold Lake say they will release more details about the incident later today.
