Plamondon Provincials 50-50 draw over $3,500

Cash raffle prize for Provincials in Plamondon is in the thousands

UPDATE — In the three days since we posted the story link for the Plamondon Cougars and Plamondon Minor Hockey Association online raffle, the pot has jumped by more than $1,200. As of Thursday midnight, the raffle was up to more than $3,500.

The deadline to buy tickets is still Sunday, and the link to the online raffle is still at the bottom of this article.

There are going to be some big wins in Plamondon over the weekend — and not all of them will be on the ice for the U-15 Tier 1 no-body-contact hockey provincials.

With days to go before the March 23-26 hockey event takes over the community, the  Plamondon Minor Hockey Association's online 50-50 raffle has already gone past the $2,000 mark.

Ticket sales end on Sunday, March 26 at 5 pm, with a winner selected that night.

Raffle ticket packages are available online for $10 for a single ticket, $20 for four tickets and $50 for 20 tickets.

Half of the final total will go to the winner and half will go towards expenses of hosting the provincial event.

"Funds raised will help us pay for ice fees, refs and other tournament related expenses," say team officials. "By purchasing raffle tickets, you are helping us... and you have a chance to win."
