National Indigenous Peoples Day event at McArthur Park draws hundreds for outdoor activities on Tuesday.

After a week of on-and-off rain, the skies cleared on June 17, which was greatly appreciated by motorcycle riders who took part in the annual Lakeland Ride for Dad.

Dancers, singers, drummers, and others were joined by a large crowd at the Lions Park in honour of Indigenous Peoples Day, June 21.

Numerous whipped pies were tossed at RCMP officers from the Bonnyville RCMP detachment who volunteered as targets to raise money for Bonnyville Victim Services during a community barbecue on June 10.

On a sunny Saturday, more than 100 motorcycle riders came together to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research during the Lakeland Ride for Dad.

In the first week of June, The Hive welcomed over 100 youth into its new Main Street location following the completion of Phase 1, which includes a youth coffee house area where youth aged 14 to 21 can meet up and hang out.

Ratepayers can expect to see a $50 credit tagged onto their July, August and September utility bills.
