Annual Hylo Harvest Days festivities took place over the past weekend.

A cougar has been spotted in and around the MD of Bonnyville’s Wolf Lake MD park and campground, prompting a public notice for recreational users.

Lise Gratton, who is from Bonnyville, will have the chance to get to know the community better after being named as the new principal for École du Sommet, a francophone school for kindergarten to Grade 12 students in St. Paul.  

Bull-a-rama and ranch rodeo will kick off a week of action on Aug. 27 and 28

Over 80 people took part in the 2022 Rural Beautification Tour hosted by the MD of Bonnyville’s Agricultural Service Board. The tour included stops at three local businesses and the properties of the winning Rural Beatification Acreage and Farm recipients.

The Lac La Biche RCMP detachment, and County peace officers and fire services are taking part in the second annual Fill the Pack Challenge. The departments are aiming to garner community donations to fill 80 backpacks with school supplies for students this fall, prior to Aug. 28.

The St. Paul Lions Park was filled with fun activities on Aug. 18 with the annual Rock the Block. Music echoed throughout the four-hour event as attendees shopped downtown and enjoyed food from vendors while the children played.

Hardships remain ongoing for the family of Priscilla Wells, who was killed on Aug. 23, 2020, when she was struck from behind while operating a ride-on lawnmower on the shoulder of Bates Lake Road. The Wells family continues to seek justice in the 49-year-old's death.
