A former Boston Bruin and Chicago Blackhawk will be leading the Cold Lake Wings through their first year as a hockey team.

St. Paul's U15 and U19 soccer teams had mixed results during provincials this past weekend, which were held in town. The town was represented well, with two U15 teams, a U19 boys club, and a pair of local girls on Bonnyville's U19 team.

Kyle Brodziak is coming home. The Edmonton Oilers signed the St. Paul, Alta., native to a two-year, $2.3 million contract on July 1, the first day of NHL Free Agency.

The U14 Bonnyville Angels B team have been training, practicing, and playing with one goal in mind: getting to provincials. “All the tournaments we’ve been going to are meant to move us up a level for provincials,” expressed catcher Morganne Baxter.

The Bonnyville Braves couldn’t stack up against the visiting New Zealand team. It wasn’t a team the men normally get to play on Thursday, June 28. Hitting the diamond to face-off against the local players was the U19 New Zealand fastball team.

The Lac La Biche Minor Ball Association and a list of local agencies are going to turn the August 4-6 weekend into a Multi-Sport celebration in Lac La Biche County.

A large donation has revived the hopes of the St. Paul BMX & Skatepark Society for having a new skatepark being built as soon as this fall, according to one of the main organizers.

The Bonnyville Jiu Jitsu Club proved they’re a force to be reckoned with at the final tournament of the season. On June 16, the club travelled to Edmonton to compete in the 2018 Mind, Body, Soul BJJ Muay Thai Tournament.

Take me out to provincials. After winning the Zone 7 qualifiers, the Bonnyville Angels U12 team are headed to provincials, with three squirt teams ending the season strong.
