Kyle Brodziak is coming home. The Edmonton Oilers signed the St. Paul, Alta., native to a two-year, $2.3 million contract on July 1, the first day of NHL Free Agency.

The U14 Bonnyville Angels B team have been training, practicing, and playing with one goal in mind: getting to provincials. “All the tournaments we’ve been going to are meant to move us up a level for provincials,” expressed catcher Morganne Baxter.

The seventh annual Walleye Classic had anglers from across the region take to Moose Lake. The two-day fishing competition hosted by the Elk Point Lions Club, had 95 boats competing this year.

A group of young athletes braved the warm weather last week, gathering at the track at the St. Paul Regional High School nearly every day after school for a sprinting camp. Coach Jeff Aarts was behind the camp, offering his expertise.
