For the first time, Canada played host the Karate-Do Genbukai Batto Do/Iai-Do Taikai Championships. Over the weekend, Bonnyville had the honour of hosting a tournament that brought in hundreds of karate champions from across the country.

The Bonnyville Voyageurs season came to an end with a 21-14 semi-final loss to the Lloyd Comp. Barons. The game didn't get off to the start the Voyageurs had wanted. They weren't able to make much ground on the first few drives.

WJAC committee helping those less fortunate get to the tournament
The World Junior A Challenge committee announced it will be offering tickets to those less fortunate this December. From Dec. 11-17 the tournament will be running at the RJ Lalonde Arena in Bonnyville.
