It was a top finish for Bonnyville's U14 girls and U16 boys soccer teams on their home turf this past weekend, as the both clubs captured gold at the Wetlands Tournament hosted at Bonnyville's Wetlands, Kinsmen and Caouette fields.

Just under 2,600 spectators made their way to the rodeo grounds this past weekend to take in some wild west entertainment as cowboys climbed up on the backs of bulls and bucking broncs as part of the 25th Bonnyville Pro Rodeo.

This past weekend's weather proved to be perfect for the St. Paul Lions football team as it hosted its preseason jamboree against teams from Bonnyville, Grand Centre and Ardrossan.

St. Paul Regional and Glendon School will head to track and field provincials this weekend in Edmonton as zone champions in the 3A and 1A categories, after both schools finished well above the competition in overall points.

The St. Paul Tennis Club introduced its new instructor last week during the annual tennis rally, which was held in the St. Paul Regional High School gym with around 40 current and prospective tennis players attending.

St. Paul Regional High School won the 32nd annual RCMP Challenge Cup Road Race last Tuesday, with about 400 students from schools in the area competing in the senior, junior and open categories of the race.
