David Buryn, the lead for his team in the Zarowny Motors Superleague, says one of the best part of the team being the champions of Division A during last weekend’s curling playoffs was the chance to have fun together.

The Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiacs swept a back-to-back series at home against the Drayton Valley Thunder this weekend, winning 4-1 Friday and 5-1 Saturday.

The Saddle Lake Warriors Junior B hockey team played and won the team’s first game of 2011 against local rivals, the St. Paul Canadiens, last Friday at Saddle Lake’s Manitou Kihew arena.
