With essentially a day and a half of rest following the AJHL Showcase Weekend, the Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiacs got back on the road for a two-game trip to Drayton Valley and Grand Prairie.

The stands at Walsh Field were completely packed and then some.

On a sunny Saturday afternoon the Bonnyville Bandits lined up on Walsh Field to face the Lloydminster Chargers. The nice weather did not bring a nice result for the Bandits, as the Chargers were a bit too much to handle.

The Friday night league opener for the North Eastern Alberta Junior B Hockey League (NEAJBHL) would have a disappointing result for the St. Paul Canadiens, who would take a 6-2 beating at the hands of their rivals, the Saddle Lake Warriors.
