It is hard to not be excited with the “new” Edmonton Oilers, what with a new coaching staff, three brand-spanking new rookies oozing with talent and promise, and a renewed sense of excitement from veteran members of the team.

The Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiacs took their show on the road to Spruce Grove for the Annual AJHL Showcase weekend. The Pontiacs played a game versus the Drumheller Dragons Friday and the Okotoks Oilers Saturday.

The Bonnyville Junior A Pontiacs played back to back games at home last weekend. They faced the Sherwood Park Crusaders Saturday night, winning 4-0, with goalie Julien Laplante getting his first shutout of the early season.
