Nitasha ‘Tiger’ Half, a purple belt kick boxer currently staying in Virginia Beach in the U.S., will be offering a six-day introduction to kickboxing course at the Saddle Lake youth centre this month.

Basketball season got underway over the past weekend with local schools hosting tournaments, giving teams the chance to bite into some competition. St. Paul Regional High School hosted its annual Tazmania tourney, which saw sixteen teams participate.

Last Saturday, eager buck hunters and deer horns enthusiasts from northern Alberta gathered at the Ashmont Agriplex for the Ashmont Buck of the Year competition.

Indoor soccer season has kicked off with a bang. The teams have been playing all of their games out of town, and members of the executive can’t wait to get all the soccer teams into the Bold Center to start practising in the new year.

Last weekend, the boys’ 1A volleyball teams from both Glendon School and École Mallaig School traveled down to St. Mary’s School in Taber to compete in volleyball provincials. Unfortunately, both teams didn’t make it to the finals.
