St. Paul Regional High School won its 20th consecutive NEASAA cross country zone banner on Oct. 6. Also grabbing top spots at zones were École des Beaux-Lacs and École Notre Dame High School, both from Bonnyville.

The St. Paul Canadiens are sitting in second place in the NEAJBHL after a win on Friday night against the Lloydminster Bandits.

The Bonnyville Senior Pontiacs see shakey start to their season, losing 8-1 to the Red Deer Rustlers during their home opener on Sunday, Oct. 16. But optimism remains as the team looks to fill five more spots on its roster.

Voyageur soccer squads show potential, but have no wins as ACAC season winds down

Split results came out of École Notre Dames High School's exhibition games on Thursday evening. The NDHS girls swept their opponents, winning all five sets in their match against the St. Paul Saints. Whereas, the NDHS boys' had a closer match against their St. Paul rivals, coming out on top of only two of five sets.

On Friday, the Bonnyville Voyageurs will have one more opportunity to change their standing in the Wheatland Football League as the team travels to Lloydminster to face-off against the top ranked team in the league, the Holy Rosary Raiders.

On Oct. 5, a handful of schools and students across the Lakeland region participated in the Lakeland Students Athletic Association (LSAA) 2022 annual Cross-country Race. Elementary to high school students who participated ran route that ranged from 1.5 to 3 km.

The St. Paul Canadiens Jr. B team has a 3-1 record so far this season, losing only to the Wainwright Bisons on Friday night. The team's next home game is set for Friday night against the Lloydminster Bandits.
