ST. PAUL - A case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at St. Paul Elementary School.
St. Paul Education Regional Division released a letter on Tuesday morning, confirming that the K-5 school had been notified that an individual has tested positive for the virus. The case has been confirmed by Alberta Health Services.
To respect the privacy of the individual, the school division will not release any further information, but confirmed that the individual is isolating at home.
The parents and guardians of those in the same cohort of the positive case have already been notified "out of an abundance of caution," according to the letter signed by Superintendent Glen Brodziak.
If parents did not hear from the school, then their child has not been affected.
