Festival of Carols set to fill cathedral with holiday tunes

ST. PAUL - A long-standing tradition in St. Paul is set to take place on Dec. 17 - the Festival of Carols.

Hosted by the adult choir Les Musicos, the event will begin at 6:30 p.m. a the St. Paul Cathedral. The evening will feature many talented musicians.

According to information from Don Buryn, a director with Les Musicos, the event is "a showcase of local talent," that will include a variety of holiday songs to get everyone into the Christmas spirit.

There will be choirs, soloists, and small groups performing.

Entry to the event is by donation to the food bank.

Les Musicos will be spreading holiday cheer ahead of Sunday night also, with evening performances set for Dec. 12 at Sunnyside Manor, and Dec. 14 at Extendicare and the hospital Auxiliary.

Les Musicos is a local choir featuring 30 to 35 members singing in four parts. The choir commits to three or four performances in the Christmas season and in the spring.
