The closure of Peavey Mart locations across Canada left some St. Paul residents disappointed.

Held over the weekend at the Clancy Richard Arena on Jan. 25 and 26, St. Paul Minor Hockey hosted 16 U9 hockey teams from across Alberta.

The closures and liquidation efforts will commence immediately, according to Peavey Mart. Peavey Mart locations in the Lakeland include St. Paul, Vermilion and Vegreville.

The $3.5 million renovation project at the St. Therese-St. Paul Healthcare Centre in St. Paul is close to completion.

The St. Paul Journal contacted the St. Paul Peavey Mart location for information and was told no comment could be provided.

A network of illegal drug flow through much of the Lakeland area spanning from Cold Lake to St. Paul has been disrupted, according to RCMP.

ST. PAUL – The new director of the St. Paul Regional Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is someone deeply embedded in the community – someone who is familiar with the challenges in the region.
