On May 2, Grade 9 students from the St. Paul Education region learned about the consequences of impaired driving through a day-long event held at the St. Paul Recreation Centre. 

St. Paul Education’s funding is expected to be reduced by almost half a million dollars, next year.

On May 9, community choir Les Musicos held its annual Spring Gala 2024 at the St. Paul Seniors' Centre. The concert also featured performances from students of St. Paul Regional High School.

In northern Alberta, the best times to view the aurora will be between 9:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m.

The St. Paul Fire Department responded to a fire at an apartment on May 6, and while no injuries were reported, firefighters did help resuscitate a pet cat. 

The Vilna Veselka Dancing Club celebrated its 45th anniversary on May 3 during its annual spring concert.

The County of St. Paul lifted its fire ban on May 7, going down to a Level 3 Fire Restriction.
