Volunteers from the Cherry Grove Recreation and Agricultural Society held their annual Breakfast with Santa event at the Cherry Grove Community Hall on Dec. 16.

Over the past year, some communities in the Lakeland region have been faced with an increase in criminal incidents, raising concerns for many people across the area.

COLD LAKE - During the City of Cold Lake council meeting held on Dec. 12 in Cold Lake, Nola Gee, a founding member of the Lakeland/Cold Lake chapter of The Compassionate Friends organization, was invited to raise awareness about the group. 

RCMP services worked together to arrest several people and recover multiple stolen vehicles in the Cold Lake area.

The Cold Lake Public Library held their annual family Christmas celebration on Dec 9.

The Cold Lake Ag Society will not be receiving the full $25,000 it requested from the City of Cold Lake to support hosting the Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association (CPCA) races in June, but organizers will get $10,000 from the municipality to support the three-day event. 

COLD LAKE - In the heartwarming spirit of the holiday season, the community of Cold Lake once again came together to support a noble cause through the fourth edition of the Great Cold Lake Turkey Race.

The City of Cold Lake is addressing a shortage of medical professionals by expanding its physician count. Under the oversight of the City of Cold Lake’s municipally controlled corporation, the CL Medical Clinic has increased the number of practicing physicians in the community. 

Cold Lake RCMP are hoping the public can help locate a 20-year-old man that has not been seen since Dec. 6.
