City of Cold Lake council discussed several funding requests during the June 11 regular council meeting, focusing on many events happening in the community.

The night was Sirant's final concert with the high school band and Beyries' last concert with the 4 Wing Band.

The second annual Rainbow Run is scheduled to take place on June 23 at the Lions Park, Cold Lake South at Centre Avenue and 60th Street. 

At the June 11 regular council meeting, Ashley Shibata voiced her concerns regarding an alleged recent assault on her son at a teen event held at the Cold Lake Energy Centre, renewing calls for increased security at the City-run facility. 

Cold Lake witnessed a long-awaited revival of chuckwagon racing as the Cold Lake Agricultural Society hosted the first races since 2011.  

The Meals on Wheels (MoW) program, managed by Cold Lake and District FCSS, offers a vital service to the community, providing nutritious meals to those in need, thanks in large part to the help of volunteer drivers.

The City of Cold Lake is gearing up for a summer filled with a variety of camps designed to engage kids and teens of all ages. 

The City of Cold Lake’s Elected Official Compensation Review Committee, which includes both members of the public and members of council, has been working to review the pay packages for elected officials of the City of Cold Lake. 

In honour of Seniors' Week, the Cold Lake Energy Centre hosted a special pickleball drop-in session on June 7 at the Reid Field House.  

The Cold Lake Golf and Winter Club has a lineup of golf events scheduled for this summer, promoting community engagement for all ages.
