Cold Lake RCMP are asking for the publics’ assistance in locating 38-year-old Chad Mckinnon, who was reported missing on March 17.

On Saturday, hundreds of community members made it out to Exhibition Park in Cold Lake to take part in the Skijoring for MS, Ride to the Cure event. Those in attendance helped to raise more than $20,698 for the MS Society of Canada.

On Saturday, Exhibition Park in Cold Lake will host 50 teams comprised of horse riders, horses, skiers and snowboarders, showing of their skills and raising money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada in the first Skijoring for MS, Riding to the Cure event.

RCMP Const. Victoria Forbes was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, following a serious collision in Cold Lake First Nations last summer, sending both drivers to hospital.

After a high-risk traffic stop in Cold Lake, the Lakeland RCMP Crime Reduction Unit arrested Laine Solway-Martial on outstanding warrants in relation to carjacking that took place on Jan. 26. RCMP have charged three others following the traffic stop.

The Cold Lake Healthcare Centre will be closing the Emergency Department's this evening beginning at 11 p.m, following an inability to secure physician coverage. The Emergency Department is scheduled to reopen tomorrow morning at 7 a.m.

The Cold Lake Healthcare Centre Emergency Department will be temporarily without on-site physician coverage from 11 p.m. Friday night until 7 a.m. Saturday.

Cold Lake RCMP continue to search for suspects connected to an alleged home invasion that took place over the weekend and resulted in a victim being shot in the foot. Police do not believe this was a random act.

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Myia Noltcho of Cold Lake. The 24-year-old was reported missing on Feb. 14 and was last seen in Cold Lake North.
