All across Alberta, communities will be celebrating a culinary experience provided by local agricultural producers in August. One of this month's local events is a farm-to-table experience being held in Plamondon on Aug.12.

The William J. Cadzow Healthcare Centre Emergency Department in Lac La Biche will be without a physician from 5 p.m., on Aug. 9 to 8 a.m., on. Aug. 10.

Summer Days events provided community entertainment during Heritage Day long weekend

A handful of Indigenous workshops and performances this month aim to spread awareness and teach participants about local Indigenous history. From jingle dancing lessons, storytelling, and the importance and meaning of teepee spaces all while connecting with guests through a hands-on experience.

Since the summer of 2021, a temporary homeless site at the Bonesville subdivision, five kilometres south of the hamlet of Lac La Biche has been supporting vulnerable people while a permeant space is in the works. However, finding permeant space in town has yet to be determined.

Over 50 kids participated in a professional three-day hockey camp that was a huge hit among the U7 to U17 that participated last week in Lac La Biche County.
