Hundreds of students from Lac La Biche filled the Bold Center Wednesday to hear presentations on bullying from Alberta Premier Alison Redford, 14-year-old anti-bullying activist Mackenzie Murphy and others.

Toby, the title character in several top-selling books by local author Charmaine Hammond was a special guest at the Feb. 26 Pink Shirt Day anti-bullying event at the Bold Center.

More than 600 area students listened to the words of Tara Murphy in the Bold Center on Feb. 26 at the Pink Shirt Day to bring awareness to anti-bullying.

Lac La Biche County officials have released the severance payout for the CAO that councillors officially fired this week. Roy Brideau, who arrived in Lac La Biche in early 2012 will receive $215,000 in severance pay.
