There will be 250 players on 17 teams that are participating in 24 games over the three-day event.

Love was in the air-and on the ice-at the Lac La Biche Curling Club during the Friday Fun Night, which had a special couples theme to coincide with Valentine’s Day, which takes place on Wednesday.

The tournament was held at the Bold Centre on Saturday and featured combined grade 7 and 8 girls and boys teams from the host school as well as Ecole Plamondon, Cold Lake Junior High, Ecole Beausejour, and the Cold Lake-based Assumption School.

The open house, which took place from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, was hosted by the Lac La Biche Regional Humane Society.

The day of events was the first to held at the school since the COVID-19 pandemic
