In front of a crowd of roughly 50 people, former Finance Minister Travis Toews pitched his perspective and policies to United Conservative Party membership holders, local leaders and politically minded residents at Bonnyville’s Senior Citizens Drop-In Centre on the evening of Sept. 1. 

A new Emergency Medical Services provider is now operating out of the City of Cold Lake. The transition is the result of the former service provider Cold Lake Ambulance Society’s ‘decision to cease ambulance operations.’ As of Sept. 1, Associated Ambulance has taken over Cold Lake’s ambulance operations.

The Bonnyville Healthcare Centre is reducing its hours for outpatient X-ray imaging in response to staff shortages. While X-ray services are being disrupted, surgical and obstetrical services are expected to resume as normal on Sept. 7, based on current information.
