Split results came out of École Notre Dames High School's exhibition games on Thursday evening. The NDHS girls swept their opponents, winning all five sets in their match against the St. Paul Saints. Whereas, the NDHS boys' had a closer match against their St. Paul rivals, coming out on top of only two of five sets.

Station 5 Bonnyville opened it bay doors while firefighters welcomed the community in for its annual open house on Oct. 11. The event featured a special airbag demonstration with explosive results.

Dollar dips add to fuel price hardships for motorists

A speeding vehicle was pulled over by a Bonnyville RCMP member who discovered a passenger in the vehicle was suffering from a stab wound. A 35-year-old man is now facing one count of assault causing bodily harm.

A report of a stolen truck that was equipped with GPS helped RCMP officers track down two stolen vehicles that were on the move. Working together, RCMP members from Bonnyville, Elk Point, Vermilion, and Police Dog Services were able to apprehend four suspects in relation to the thefts.

On Friday, the Bonnyville Voyageurs will have one more opportunity to change their standing in the Wheatland Football League as the team travels to Lloydminster to face-off against the top ranked team in the league, the Holy Rosary Raiders.
