Political veteran says changes won't affect her representation, and they won't lower fuel prices

Lakeland Catholic schools took the last week of classes to recognize the achievements of their students over the course of the 2021-22 academic year before students rushed into their summer break.

Police are asking for the public's help in locating Madison Katrina Payne. The 23-year-old Cold Lake woman was last seen in Cold Lake on July 3. Police believe Payne may be in the Edmonton area.

Glen Edward Bringleson who was charged in 2019 with sexually assaulting a car dealership employee in Cold Lake has been convicted of that crime. The case, which has been before the courts for more than two years, was extended further when the accused failed to attend his trial date in March.

A new federal grant to support fire prevention will see a $76,000 contribution to Lac La Biche County’s new Wildfire Mitigation Incentive Program. The new program will support residents with infrastructure costs to protect properties from fire disasters.
