During the first council meeting of February, the Town of Bonnyville’s mayor, Elisa Brosseau, read the newly crafted land acknowledgement statement that pays homage to the first peoples of Treaty 6 territory. The statement will be read at all council meetings moving forward.

Grade 6 student Ryann Friesen and Grade 8 student Tessa Ogloff were selected as the winners of a poster design contest that draws attention to bullying. The contest was a part of the Lakeland Catholic School Divisions Mental Health Matters Campaign.
