The Cold Lake Jr. B Ice has not lost a playoff game yet and is now up 2-0 on Lloydminster in the finals. The Ice took games one and two at home last weekend, beating the Bandits 4-1 Friday and 3-2 Saturday.

Green and gold ruled the junior high basketball court on March 8, as the Nobles and Marquise welcomed Ashmont and Mallaig to Glendon School, where the home teams triumphed in the St. Paul Athletic Association (SPAA) Finals.

With standing room only at Ashmont Elementary gym on Saturday, the host school went on to win the Northeast zones senior boys 1A basketball championship by defeated Glendon in the final.

The St. Paul Bengals celebrated their final act together as a football team last Thursday, as the boys in the bantam team accepted their championship rings to put the icing on the cake of a great season.

Local boxer John Mountain, 17, won gold at the Golden Gloves tournament held in Edmonton March 5 and 6.

With four games complete, the series is still too close to call. It was another one-goal decider game Thursday in Bonnyville, but this time it was the Fort McMurray Oil Barons squeaking out a tough 4-3 victory over the Bonnyville Jr.

It took over five periods of hockey, but game three finally finished, with the Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiacs on top.

The series is tied 1-1 after the Pontiacs took the Fort McMurray Oil Barons 3-2 last night. The venue will now shift to Bonnyville's R.J. Lalonde Arena for game three Wednesday. The Bonnyville Jr.

With a district championship on the line this weekend, it was the girls and boys teams from Dr. Brosseau School coming through for their school and taking home the championships.
