The Bonnyville Pontiacs win Sunday afternoon Jr. A hockey match.

The pond hockey has started for teams in the Lakeland, including the Elk Point Oil Barons.

A basketball referee clinic is taking place this weekend in Glendon amid a shortage of referees in the Lakeland. Those involved in basketball leagues in the region are hoping more people get involved as officials.

It was another busy weekend of hockey for the Elk Point Avalanche teams.

Junior high volleyball teams from across the Lakeland travelled to Bonnyville on Saturday to take part in the Lakeland Schools Athletic Association's (LSAA) District Championship games. 

The hockey season is underway and St. Paul teams have been busy hosting tournaments at the Clancy Richard Arena and CAP Arena.

The Elk Point Elks delighted their home town crowd last Friday night when the Dewberry Mustangs came to visit.

Over the weekend, École Notre Dame's senior volleyball teams crushed their competitors at the 2A Northeast Zone Championships.

In just three games, the Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiacs accumulated 16 goals. The Bonnyville team now sit in third place in the AJHL's North Division.

On Nov. 26, LSAA’s three Wards will come together to compete in the District Volleyball Championships for Grades 7-9 at two Bonnyville locations. Bonnyville teams qualifying for Districts include Dr. Brosseau and École des Beaux-Lacs girls teams, as well as Iron River and Dr. Brosseau boys teams.
