Parking space near the Clancy Richard Arena was sparse on Saturday night, and the home side of the arena stands was filled with loud and lively fans, cheering on the local Jr. B hockey team.

It must be hard to be the government of Alberta, what with so many billions of dollars to handle, so many departments to juggle. I know I wouldn't want the job.

To the Editor: Concerning the recent proposal for the Town to hire a private security firm to supplement its police coverage, local business persons and all tax payers should consider the following facts.

I'll admit it; originally I was not a fan of the idea of NHL hockey in Las Vegas. Why put an NHL team in the biggest gambling, party city in North America? It just didn't seem to make an ounce of sense to me.

No matter where you live the health care system has it's flaws.

The Town of St. Paul has been entertaining a proposal to hire a firm, for a security officer to patrol the streets of town, seven nights a week.

In Grade 6, I had a teacher named Mr. Vogel. Mr. Vogel was a thin, fastidious man, and the kids in his class liked to crack jokes at him about his multi-coloured jeans and the blinding light that would bounce off his bald forehead.

I do also wish to bring up something that was posted by the St. Paul Journal.

With voting day now well and truly on the horizon, residents in the local Bonnyville – Cold Lake constituency will soon have the opportunity to decide whom they would like to represent the local PCs in the next provincial election.

Canadians are widely known for being too nice. We will apologize for incidents that are not our fault, and generously help others without a second thought.
